How-to-Tuesday: Wedding Survival Kit

18 Feb

"Weekend Survival Kits" can be a super cute way to deliver some necessary goodies to your guests, whether for a destination wedding, a group trip, or even a bachelorette party weekend with the girls. Fill them with just a few pharmacy go-tos or bulk them up with added toiletries convenient to have on hand at the hotel. Alka-Seltzer after a long night on the dance floor does wonders!

For a MINI KIT, choose a small container.  This ready-made kit from Johnson & Johnson was already filled with band-aids and first aid cream, and best of all came in the perfect white container.  Make it your open by adding in a few more things ~  I was able to squeeze in a pack of Alka Seltzer, some Advil and a sewing kit.

Finally, the best part!  Finish the kit off with a bow (red seems fitting!) and how about a custom stickie?  The new Survival Kit Stickie to includes a red cross and comes in two versions. This one features a little poem...no, we couldn't resist...and yes, it took me some tries to get the wording to rhyme...

Get creative with your packaging.  Clear bags and pails work well, too.

For a more complete Weekend Survival Kit, think of contents that might come in handy as your guests get ready. Mints and tissues are nice for women to drop in their purses. And for destination weddings things like sun tan lotion and aloe might be fitting. Below are more ideas we had...

This label version features a tiny band-aid and the phrase 'For Life's Little Emergencies!'
Wording can be change on stickies as well..another cute phrase to consider is 'In sickness and in health!'

{Both versions of this sticker design can be found here in our Etsy Shop!}

Please Do Not Disturb!

Whipped up a new product this weekend and wanted to share: personalized door hangers! I can see these peaking out of a hotel welcome bag!  Now your guests can rest in style with this little printable hanging outside their door.  I cannot help myself from adding a pattern.  Stripes make me happy lately! Customize with your wedding colors to echo them throughout every little detail.

door hangers for weddings

No only are these good for warding off the cleaning staff, but have you ever been to an out of town wedding and wondered who else is on your floor? This is a great way for out of town guests to find each other...or to find where the late night pizza got delivered...

The door hangers are also available in a number of different skyline options to remind everyone what a great city they are visiting...

There isn't a lot to cutting them out and hanging them...a hole in the middle for the doorknob and a small slice to allow it to stretch around.  This is the traditional way, with either a square or round top. But to add extra flare, skip the hole and cut a small slit at the top to string thru your choice of ribbon!

The Simple White Pail

30 May

Sometimes sweet and simple just looks so darn pretty.  I love a crisp white pail - especially in the summer!  I was photographing some wedding stickers and dropped in a vase of flowers I had in the living room.  Was surprised how sweet it looked.  Vase and all, just plopped it in.  Would be a great centerpiece for an outdoor wedding, rehearsal dinner or a summer dinner party.

They also take well to stickers and labels and that handle is screaming for a bow!

I love the idea of using a little pail for a beach or summer wedding ~ swap out your paper gift bags for the hotel guest out-of-town 'bags' and use a pail instead. Nice and sturdy, too, for your water bottles and treats. Or maybe filling with beers to take to the beach! XOXO

Welcome Stickies From Cities Near and Far!

5 Jan

Happy New Year everyone!  I had so much fun in 2011 making Welcome stickies for brides all over the country!  Hopefully this year we'll add to the list!  I am always so amazed how different colors and fonts in addition to phrases supplied by our clients can produce such a huge array of designs.

Mountain Wedding!

12 Aug

Kelly, Evan, Alice and Sarah are all headed to the mountains to get married!  The Ski-Town Skyline is a popular sticker design for welcome bags if you are getting married in Vail, Aspen, Telluride and all those gorgeous locations!  My favorite is the little hearts inside the ski-lifts!  But if you don't have ski-lifts at your location (like Alice in the Linville Caverns of North Carolina!) we can always swamp out the lodge for some nice pine trees!

Tale of Two Cities ~ Bride and Groom Hometown Match Up!

23 Jun

Since it seems to be a city-skylines-week I thought I'd continue with this post!   Latrice is an Event Stylist and the owner of  Opulent Couturier in Nashville (Check out her beautiful site here!).  While putting together Welcome Boxes for Jill & Guy's wedding she asked for a skyline stickie that could combine both the hometown cities! So the first merged city skyline was born.  "NYC meets TN" fit perfectly for the box full of little Tennessee treats.

Now Sweet Sanity offers the Two Skyline Merged stickie for a mix of the bride and grooms hometown cities. Congrats to Kerri and Phil as well... a Boston and Philly match up! ♥

Jeannette and Seamus’s Blue and Robin Guest Welcome Bags

13 Feb

Jeannette is putting together a fun bag for her guests. She used the 3" rounds in the Love Sweet Love with Filigree Design for the outside of the bags, and ordered corresponding printable water bottle labels to match. She used 'Heart' for the red and 'Robin' for the blue. Thanks Jeannette!

These (water bottle labels) are going to look great in our guest bags! Such a cool personal touch. Awesome! They (the stickies) turned out incredible -- thank you so much!
